What changed, and why it matters

Until 2023 the Vietnamese e-Visa was capped at 30 days and a single entry. It now runs up to 90 days with multiple entries, which makes it a better option than an embassy visa for most travellers.

What to prepare

1A clear colour scan of the passport photo page.
2A digital passport photo — face straight on, no glasses.
3Your planned port of entry (airport or land crossing) and approximate entry date.
4A passport valid at least six months.

What it costs

The official fee is around ILS 93 per traveller. With Visale the all-in price is ILS 182 per traveller, including a document check before filing and tracking until the PDF arrives.

Common mistakes

Frequently asked

Do I need to print the e-Visa?
Yes — strongly recommended. Border officers ask for a printed copy in most cases.
Can I enter overland?
Yes, at approved crossings only. Name the right one on the application.
Can the visa be extended?
Extension inside Vietnam is possible but awkward. Better to apply for the full 90 days up front.
How far ahead should I apply?
At least a week before the flight. The official window is up to three business days.
