Indonesia e-VOA: the complete guide
Bali and the rest of Indonesia can be entered on a visa on arrival — but travellers who file it in advance (e-VOA) skip the payment desk queue and use an electronic gate.
What the e-VOA is
The e-VOA is the online version of the visa on arrival. File before you fly, receive the approval by email, and use the electronic gate at the airport instead of queueing at the payment desk.
Extending to 60 days
The visa runs 30 days and can be extended once by another 30 — 60 in total. The extension is arranged inside Indonesia at an immigration office, and is best started about a week before the visa expires.
What it costs
The fee is around ILS 130 per traveller. With Visale the all-in price is ILS 219 per traveller, including completion, review, filing and tracking.
What to check
- An approved port of entry — The e-VOA is valid at Denpasar (Bali), Jakarta and others — but not everywhere.
- An onward ticket — Required on arrival.
- Six months passport validity — A hard requirement.
- An accommodation address — A hotel name or host address, not simply "Bali".
