Processing times, destination by destination
The table is ordered by price, but the column that matters to you right now is the middle one. Note these are official windows, not promises — an application referred for manual review takes longer, and no government guarantees a turnaround.

What can realistically be done in a day or two
- Almost always fine — Canada and Thailand — the authorization comes back within minutes to hours.
- Usually fine — The US, Australia, Indonesia. Most approvals land within hours, though the official window is longer.
- Very tight — The UK, Vietnam, Cambodia, Morocco, Azerbaijan — three business days, and a weekend does not count.
- Probably not — China requires physical submission and surrendering the passport. There is no fast track.
Four mistakes that cause delays exactly when you are rushing
- A mistyped passport number — The number one cause. On an urgent application there is no time to discover it at the desk.
- A reversed date format — US forms put the month before the day. A wrong date can send the application to manual review.
- Forgetting a traveller — Everyone needs their own, infants included. A family that filed three of four applications does not all board.
- Filing through a copycat site — Under last-minute pressure it is easy to land on a paid result that charges several times the fee and does not file in time.
And if there really is no time
Some destinations still have a route: Thailand lets you complete the arrival card at the airport, and Indonesia allows paying for a visa on arrival. The US and UK have no alternative — without authorization you do not board, and changing a flight costs far more than the fee. If that is where you are, talk to us before you change the ticket.
