Cambodia e-Visa: the complete guide

Cambodia is a natural stop on a South-East Asia trip, and its visa is electronic — but it is only valid at some entry points, which is the mistake that stings most at the border.

What the Cambodian e-Visa is

A single-entry electronic tourist visa delivered as a PDF and presented printed on arrival. It can be used within three months of issue and allows a stay of up to 30 days.

Where it is valid — and this matters

The e-Visa is not accepted at every crossing. It works at the airports of Phnom Penh, Siem Reap and Sihanoukville, and at major land crossings only. If you plan to enter overland from Thailand, Laos or Vietnam, confirm that your specific crossing is approved — otherwise you will have to arrange a visa on the spot.

What you need

1A passport valid at least six months.
2A digital passport photo.
3Your planned entry point and an approximate date.

What it costs

The fee is around ILS 135 per traveller. With Visale the all-in price is ILS 224 per traveller, including a check that the entry point you chose is genuinely approved.

Frequently asked

Is the e-Visa valid at every crossing?
No — only major airports and certain land crossings. Check your route in advance.
How many entries does it allow?
One. An itinerary that leaves and returns needs a second visa.
Do I need to print it?
Yes. Cambodian immigration asks for a printed copy on arrival.
Can I extend my stay?
A tourist visa can be extended once by 30 days through an immigration office.
